A Brief Biography
Born and lived in Manchester for more years than I care to remember.
First became interested in photography when I attended an Art and Design course at college in the 1970’s.
At this time also completed a 2 year course in photography.
Bought my first Olympus SLR camera around 1980.
My career began in advertising agencies until going freelance in 1980 as a typographic designer.
Freelanced for advertising agencies and design studios until 1992 when I bought my first computer and set up a design and artwork studio on Salford Quays. This was the beginning of the digital age for me!
In 2005 bought my first digital SLR camera.
Being able to capture digital landscape images with relative ease these days, combined with a concerted effort over the last few years to improve my image manipulation skills has enabled me to produce a more graphic style of digital photo images.
The result of being a frustrated artist I suppose!
